Four in a row, and just gave away two to the lowly Padres. Way too early to look at the standings with any seriousness, but obviously there are some causes for concern. One of mine is when did Zito get such a long leash? Bochy left him in to give up nine runs in one inning against the Brewers, then left him in to blow a five run lead last night. We also give up way too many hits to pitchers. Also, what's up with Torres. He let a guy take an extra base earlier in the season while seemingly looking at Pagan for some reason, and the error last night was flat inexcusable. Drop the ball, maybe, but never touch it?

I have concerns, too, Allen, and as you say, it's still way toooooo early to really worry.
But some things HAVE to change, and it starts with Scutaro. He isn't even a shadow of what he was last year.
Now let's be clear, I do NOT expect anything close to what he did.
But he's popping up too many hittable balls, and usually it's because he's chasing high crap-o-la.
He's missing pitches he should drive, and swinging and missing way too often.
I'll take my criticism a step further. Cain and Vogey HAVE to get their acts together, and soon.
They've both been erratic.
Casilla has walked way toooo many hitters, and has struggled with command all this short season long.
Lopez isn't as dominating as he has been vs LHP, I don't care what the numbers show.
Right now, for most of the team, "focus" seems to be the problem.
I hate to say this, and it may not be correct, but based upon some of the stupid stuff we've seen:
1-Torres last night 2-Belt running into a DP 3-Scutaro booting a routine DP 4-Pitchers not named Lincecum with command problems.
And these guys are "almost" acting like teams who have become complacent because they just won it all.
Almost.
I'm just throwing that thought out there, because it's really too early to know.
But come June, If they're still playing this way?
I don't want to think about it.

It looks to me that Scutaro's legs are gone....I'm afraid he left it all on the field last year...I continue to worry about both Pagan and Torres in the field...I would like to see Blanco play in CF...but all their hitting remains iffy....maybe it is time to consider Peguero, if he could stay on the field....

Don -- I continue to worry about both Pagan and Torres in the field...I would like to see Blanco play in CF...but all their hitting remains iffy....maybe it is time to consider Peguero, if he could stay on the field.... Rog -- If Francisco continues to scald the ball, it is hard to imagine his not being called up. But Pagan nor Pence is going to sit, and thus far Blanco has been good offensively and very good defensively.
