Buster Posey is an above average, to good catcher.
Great defensively, he is not, which is understandable since he really hasn't been catching his whole life, and thus developing a lot of "instinctive" skills.
Still, he's pretty good.
But twice last night, once in a very critical moment, he reacted to balls like Lazy Benny.
Once... okay.
Twice? In THAT situation? To swipe at the ball?
Sorry, but that's unacceptable from a major league catcher.
I expect better from him, and I KNOW he expects better from himself.
Let's hope that last night was a learning moment, and that we won't see that very often in the future.
He's better than that. Much better.
