Arias... not long after I posted how comfortable I've felt on ANYTHING hit to him... he began having the "yips" in the field. Almost in every start over the last bunch of games, he's bobbled, or simply misplayed at least one ball.
He did it again last night on a tough play; a play I contend he should have, and WOULD HAVE made a couple of weeks earlier.
BLANCO-Still has the best range in CF of ANYONE we have on the club.
PAGAN- Must have the SF record for most called looking, strike threes
PENCE-Watching this guy hit is painfull, truely painfull! He pulls off of more pitches, swings and misses more hittable fastballs, and then tops more balls then ANYONE I've ever seen who's considered an RBI.
Then he'll blast a 3 run shot on a ball at his ankles. Easy to see why he gets moved around so much in a short period fo time. For all the RBIs, the manager has to put up with the rest of those TERRIBLE at bats.
Still, I'll take him back.
PENNY-Why was he even in the game last night? Why? He's not going to be on the post season roster. I would have rather seen Loux, who at least has a chance to get people out.
KONTOS/MOTA-Both have made strong cases for being on the post season roster.
BUMGARNER-Dude, you sucked last night! 5th or 6th performance where you were just "slinging" the ball.
You have 7 days to figure it out. Get it done!

Boly -- BLANCO-Still has the best range in CF of ANYONE we have on the club. Rog -- I've got to think Gregor has some of the best outfield range of ANY player. And he seems to excel at all three outfield spots. Boly -- Still, I'll take him back. Rog -- In Pence and Pablo, the Giants have two of the weirdest SUCCESSFUL hitters around. They can frustrate, baffle, confuse and confound. Boly -- BUMGARNER-Dude, you sucked last night! 5th or 6th performance where you were just "slinging" the ball. You have 7 days to figure it out. Get it done! Rog -- See why I think after Cain, the rotation isn't nearly as simple as you make it sound? Despite yesterday's poor outing, Cain and Bumgarner will be the first two starters. Lincecum will be in the rotation, likely third -- but not necessarily. Vogelsong and Zito may come down to matchups. For me, Zito is the odd man out. Because of his horrendous first half, Tim has been the worst starter on the team -- easily. But because he has righted himself in the second half and because of his past postseason success, he's in the rotation. Despite his own recent struggles, Vogelsong has been easily better than Zito over the season. It's a shame Barry isn't likely to make the rotation, but at least he's assured of a spot on the roster this time. Barry could still beat out Ryan for the last rotation spot, but I personally wouldn't choose him. Nor do I think the Giants will.
