I wavered whether or not to add the plus here before opting not to. Feelling guilty about it, too, but I can't quite do it. Not quite.
Sergio has allowed a run in only 9 of his 66 appearances. Take away his three truly bad performances, and he his ERA would be just 0.56.
As it is, his ERA is just 1.89. His WHIP is even better, at 0.88. He has gone only 4-2, but he has 23 holds and 12 saves -- with only one blown save.
Has there ever been a player with that many holds, that many saves, and only one blow save? I doubt it. Have there been many with 23 holds and 12 saves regardless of the number of blown saves?
I doubt.
Because of that, I doubt I can keep from adding that plus, either.

"A" is a good score, but over the last month, I'm thinking A+. He's been that good.

He's been as good as it gets, and not just this year. I'm surprised when a right handed hitter even puts the ball into play, let alone gets a hit. His only drawback is his durability, as all those sliders put a stress on his elbow and Bochy has to be careful not to overuse him. I'd put that plus on the A for sure.
