my facts are unchallenged.

Dood - I see other teams, even Arizona, willing to shell out big bucks for a top pitcher. I see us getting Jeff Freakin Samardzija. What do you call that if not going cheap? Rog -- I call it the Giants' spending a lot more on their payroll than the Diamondbacks do. And I call it the Giants' doing that even though the Diamondbacks just signed a 10-figure TV contract. For the most part, the teams that are spending big are the teams with the biggest TV contracts. The Giants are one of the very few exceptions. Spotrac hasn't yet caught up with the Greinke or Samardzija contracts, but they list the Giants' salary commitments for 2016 as $138 million. The Diamondbacks are listed at $30 million. In other words, in theory, the Diamondbacks had over $100 million more available to spend on Zack Greinke than the Giants did. If you knew this kind of stuff, I doubt you would go off half-cocked. Go to spotrac.com/mlb/payroll/2016/. Educate yourself. The better-informed we are, the more likely our opinions will be valid. as usual, when you've lost the argument, you change the parameters. We're all used to that from you
