When a player is suspended without having been ejected from a game, the umpires have failed IMO.
On the other hand, I think the warning both benches is dumb. In some cases, the pitcher should probably be ejected rather than warned. If a warning is warranted, I think it should be a warning to the offending team along with a "better be careful yourselves" to the offended squad.
Wasn't it pretty obvious Rodriguez was being targeted the first time? IMO that was the time to eject Dempsey. To my way of thinking, the umpires are too timid in this area.

Interesting take from you. IMO if you take four shots at a guy, then hit him, you should probably be tossed. It's Dempster.
