Crawford showed he regained his bat speed on Tuesday in the process of striking out. Wednesday, he speeded up his bat and went long ball. The ups are back calling the outside pitches strikes on him which means he has to try to hit that pitch hard to left...
What happened to Pablo?? He looks as if he has been losing weight..and speed. Crawford looks a little trimmer...is he in the dog house or what??? I never saw a regular pulled out of the game on a double switch so early in a game...just when he started to swing the bat a lot better...
Why such negative vibes about Pill??? He is a good fielder, not much different tan Belt only right handed...he has always been labeled a good fielder...at first. Why can't anyone buy the fact that e might have improved during his last trip to AAA, isn't that why they option guys out? That is always why I couldn't buy not giving Ellison another chance to start when they brought him back after hitting over .400...Ellison couldn't pinch hit, neither could Bonds. Ellison failed as pinch hitter but even after he was traded away, he would fail as a PH, get a chance to start. hit, and then get traded again....
Blanco looks so much better in CF than Torres..and Pagan...except for his arm. .. now if he would only start to hit...
Scutaro looks slow in the field. They say he is having back problems, I still think it is his legs....he is swinging the bat too good to have real back problems....but who knows for sure.
Major League baseball in its great stupidity has handled their drug problem poorly...they leaked names and held off taking their action too long...I would think teams about to lose players would have liked to have known before the trade dateline.. well, we don't know what is going on behind the scenes..
I retired my old computer and what a difference in speed...I see the games much better now.. only complaint is with Microsoft 8, I liked EP much better...I still can't figure how to set up my favorite sites...and little things how my solitare game refuses to quit a game....
I still don't understand why you SF guys worry so much about the Giants payroll.... every game a sell out, people eating like hogs, everyone wearing Giants togs, Major League TV pays out more money than the Fed Reserve...and the Giants always seem to end up with draft picks and retreads....however, I am glad to see they didn't, make any trades ( yet) ..I don't know who really makes the decisions....that AJ deal looks even worse now that Liriano has recovered..12 wins and growing and who really needs a closer like Nathan??? The worse part is they got rid of AJ without getting any thing in return...the guy is an A-H, but he puts up numbers...signing 10 retreads for spring training and having one of them make the team doesn't make up for things like the Bill Mueller trade, the AJ trade, Wheeler, etc...
Remember '51 and hang in their....maybe Mays and Corwin get the call and sparks the Giants again...Corwin is dead and Mays looks bad, but maybe Pill and Gaudin can light the fuse.....
