I've looked up who we could bring up to replace Vogey for 2 months, and there aren't a lot of options.
Runzler is relieving, and not starting, so he's out.
Loux is 34. He has the best numbers; 3.68 36 ip 32 hits... and also some experience with the big club.
Heston is 24, 50 ip, 65 hits! Not good, and, as far as I know, no major league experience.
My point is, the options aren't very good at all.
Neither do I like Krukow's thought; start them on their normal rest times, considering that Thursday is an off day and they can technically skip that spot.
I'd like to give those arms an extra day's rest.
Then again, IF we call up one of the guys... it'll likely be a bullpen game, and we'll trash the bullpen.
As I said, not very good options.
Sigh...

His numbers this season are odd, intriguing enough that I would certainly scout his performances. The guy has a 9.00 ERA, so it hasn't been pretty, but batters are actually making contact LESS often on pitches within the strike zone and MORE often on bad balls.
Certainly worth a scouting, just on the outside chance.

If the Rangers released him... that doesn't say much for him at all.
Then again, he has a lot of Big League experience...
I guess beggars can't really be choosers, can we.
