Has signed a contract with the NC Dinos. An expansion team in the Korean League.

Rog -- I find that rather ironic in that there were those here who said the Giants should send Tim Lincecum down and instead call up Hacker, who "couldn't do any worse than Tim."
Tim actually pitched fairly well after the All-Star game, while Eric pitched well enough to ... get himself a contract in the Korean League.
I suspect he'll be a starting pitcher there though.

Hacker was the only starting pitcher worthy of a try...however, the Giants signed him 3 different times, released him twice and then sent him to Korea....and I wasn't the one calling for his call-up....

At the time Lincecum was pitching very, very poorly, and Hacker was the top guy down in Fresno. I don't think I ever said that Hacker was a permanent replacement or would peform as Tim did at his peak. I was of the opinion that we couldn't afford to run Timmy out there anymore, and that he would be better served by going down and getting himself straightened out at Fresno, away from the harsh spotlight of the ML stage.
