Rog, I may very well be wrong in my reasons... but so far NO ONE has come up with any better ones.
And frankly, I'm not buying that "California tax" reason.
You're making 30 Million+ per year, more than you could spend in 12 lifetimes, the taxes become a moot point.

Rog -- If money weren't an important factor, more players would sign contracts that weren't the highest bidder. And some believe it's not what you make, it's what you keep. One reason Zack might have chosen Arizona is that -- despite what one poster said earlier -- it is an organization on the way up. The Diamondbacks had very good hitting last season, but lacked pitching. With Greinke now on their roster and Patrick Corbin once again healthy, they don't lack it as much. The Diamondbacks' next move might be to strengthen their bullpen -- if they don't sign Mike Leake first. By the way, Boly. Pardon my memory -- which is good, but too often short -- but what were your reasons? I apologize for not remembering them -- and for saying that I probably didn't agree with them when in fact I didn't remember. That's OK, Boly. If you think of them, just post. As for your last post, I can't disagree with a thing you said!
